Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in LIS Courses: Entering into New Vista of Higher Education System

Abstract The paper discusses various aspects related to the library and information science education being taught at Delhi University. It describes genesis of the Department, courses offered, availabilities of facilities, eligibility and admission criteria, availability of seats for BLIS/MLIS/M. Phil. and Ph. D, etc. The paper also discusses the various parameters of the newly implemented choice-based credit system and credit score of the BLIS and MLIS programmes.
