Abstract
The author recalls his first meeting with Dr. Ranganathan in 1946 and the impact that made. Elaborates on the teaching technique deployed by Ranganathan. Narrates the launching of the ABGILA and his role as an Editor encouraging students and librarians to write. Describes his visit to foreign countries and his work at international level. Ends with ' relevance of his ideas and theories’ that will require a sound foundation and some underpinnings.
