Likert scale based questionnaire was used to obtain responses from the professionals working in eight libraries of Delhi which were categorized into four as special, technical, academic and public. Total 58 questionnaires were distributed, out of which 43 were returned back with response rate of 71%. Questionnaire was divided into two sections namely ‘Recruitment and Selection’ having 12 questions and ‘Placement and Induction’ consisting of 6 questions. First category, ‘Recruitment and Selection’ scored 75.8% with WAM 3.8 while second section ‘Placement and Induction’ got 72.7% and WAM of 3.6 which shows that the staff in the libraries under study have a positive perception regarding the practices being followed under both categories of human resource management.
