Preservation and Conservation Education: An Overview.

Abstract
Highlights the importance of Preservation and Conservation. Presents an overview of Preservation and Conservation (PAC) education in Library and Information Science (LIS) departments in Universities and other institutions in India. Discusses the role of professional associations in promotion of PAC and its education. Suggests a brief outline of the course contents of PAC. Finally puts forward a few suggestions to ameliorate the situation in India in this regard.
