Abstract
Language related information, for practical use, is required by students, academicians, researchers, authors, web content developers, managers and other professionals. There is a need for various types of information, and it is found in a range of general and special dictionaries. With the availability of an increasing number of digital and on-line sources, accessing language-related information has become easier, and various new approaches are available. This paper identifies various language related information needs or “queries” and indicates the sources which would be useful to find the relevant information. The emphasis is on on-line sources, which the user would find easy to consult during the course of this work. However, the very important classic print sources are also mentioned.
