Redesigning User Services in University Libraries in Information Technology Age

Abstract
As a result of certain environmental changes, University Libraries all over the globe are rethinking their organisation structure for the main purpose of providing improved services to users. Discusses the rationale for reshaping reader services division at the University of Illorin Library. Proposes the redesign in response to the availability of IT in the libraries and its promise to improve library services and staff morale. Describes the steps to be taken in the restructuring process at the University Library that may help other academic libraries in Nigeria having a thought to redesign their libraries.
